Professor, PhD supervisor, Chair of the Translation Department, and Director of the Master of Translation and Interpreting (MTI) Education Center at the School of Foreign Languages, Fudan University; Member of the 4th China National Committee for Graduate Education of Translation and Interpreting; Vice Chair of the Shanghai Science and Technology Translation Society.
Tao’s main research areas include translation education and international communication, the English translation and reception of Chinese classical texts, and translation and artificial intelligence. She has published over 30 books, translated works, and textbooks, and has written more than 80 academic papers in domestic and international journals. She also serves on the editorial boards and as a reviewer for core journals such as Interpreter and Translator Trainer, Perspectives, and Shanghai Journal of Translators.
