Each year, huge amounts of equipment are procured to setup, expand, or maintain production facilities. Manufacturer's product information delivery is an important part of the complete delivery, such as drawings, certificates, test reports and so on. In Current, it takes much manual effort and time to prepare this information by manufacturer, as well as receive and use it during the equipment lifecycle by Owner/Operator.

How to achieve a higher degree of standardization and automation in the manufacturer’s information preparation and exchange and the information processing? To improve the process efficiency at all participants, so that everyone can benefit from it, is the goal of the technology of the Digital Data Chain (DDC). This is a combined technology including the IEC 61406 identification link, the VDI 2770 digital manufacturer information and the information exchange platform (IEP). We will focus on the sharing of VDI 2770 based digital manufacturer information.
