Holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy and a post-doctoral degree in Law; an Erasmus Mundus International Exchange Visiting Scholar; a professor at the School of Foreign Languages, East China University of Political Science and Law; a researcher for the “Global China Program” in New York University Shanghai. an expert committee member of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Commercial Sub-Council; a drafter of the association standard “Guidelines for School-Enterprise Cooperation in Technical Communication” (CCPIT-CSC-HJ2024297)；received the title of “Annual Influencer in Technical Communication in 2024” (conferred by CCPIT Trade Commercial Sub-Council Technical Communication Professional Committee) ; has offered courses such as “Technical Writing for Foreign-related Law and Business” and “Intelligent Manufacturing of a Great Nation and Technical Writing” ; led a university-level project “The Shift of Technical Writing in Foreign Language Colleges under the Digital Humanities Perspective”.

    In response to the trends in Legal Tech, students should be equipped with the necessary tools and skills to meet the high demand for visualizing and digitizing ducument in the future legal industry. This will enhance their career prospects and provide them with more diverse opportunities for professional growth.

    Aligned with the national need for collaborative training of foreign-related legal talents, the course "Foreign-related Legal Translation and Technical Writing" is designed to prepare students to proficiently manage the translation and drafting tasks of common legal documents. Students will also be taught to leverage modern document visualization and digitization technologies, particularly graphics, charts, and data visualization techniques, to present complex legal information clearly and concisely. This approach enhance their capacity to effectively utilize modern technology in practical settings, thereby enhancing their competitiveness in the job market.

    This presentation will focus on systematic course planning and practical case studies. By analyzing actual cases such as international contracts, legal opinions, and arbitration awards, and incorporating in-depth applications of translation and writing tools, this presentation aims to provide innovative solutions for legal practitioners and business users, highlighting the significance of technical communication in foreign-related legal practices.
