Xiaobo Wang is a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Technical Communication at the Department of English, Sam Houston State University, where she teaches undergrad and grad courses in technical communication and rhetoric. She was the Writing Center Director and Visiting Assistant Professor at Oxford College of Emory University. She was selected as an interdisciplinary doctoral fellow of Georgia State University’s Second Century Initiatives. She had worked as an intern of Business Communication Strategy at Goizueta Business School, Emory University. Her teaching and research interests and experience are transnational rhetoric and communication, technical and professional communication, communication design, cultural rhetorics, and so on. She is currently engaged in several research and teaching initiatives including a multidisciplinary, IRB approved study on the communication patterns during COVID 19 and a cross-cultural, cross-border teaching project.
