He has served as the guiding expert for translation technology courses in the World Interpreter and Translator Training Association, holding multiple translation qualifications. Research focuses: digital humanities, translation technology, and corpus translation studies. Mastering Python and R language programming skills, Yaowei Xu has extensive experience in applying ChatGPT technology to teaching, translation practices, and software development. He has developed courses such as “Empowering Foreign Language Learning with AIGC” and created various tools, including the AIGC Multifunctional Website, “Digital Humanities Intelligent Analysis Platform DH-Analyzer,” emotion narrative analysis systems, multilingual GPT translation software, emotion and sentiment analysis software driven by large language models, and fuzzy image-text intelligent recognition and proofreading software. He holds two computer software copyright registration certificates from the National Copyright Administration of the People’s Republic of China. Xu has actively participated in projects such as building the “Far East International Military Tribunal Trial Record Corpus”, the AI-empowered improvement project for foreign language signs in Shaoxing’s scenic spots, and the creation of the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” National Key Books, Audio-Visual, and Electronic Publications Publishing Plan — China Classic Literature Works Chinese-English Parallel Corpus. With over 20 years of experience in translation practice using computer-aided translation (CAT) and other technologies, he has translated nearly 6 million words. His achievements include winning first prize in the sixth National Machine Translation Post-Editing Competition and receiving the Excellent Guidance Teacher Award in the third “UE Cup” National Technical Translation Competition.
