Zou Ying earned a Master’s degree in German-Chinese translation from the Institute of Advanced Interpretation and Translation at the University of Mainz, Germany. She began her career at SAP, the world’s largest enterprise software company, where she became the first Chinese member of the translation department of the German headquarters. With extensive experience in the software localization industry, Zou Ying lived in Germany for over a decade before returning to China in 2021. Currently, she is a senior project manager in the language experience department of SAP Shanghai Branch. Zou Ying is a certified sworn translator appointed by German courts, enabling her to translate and notarize various legal certificates. She has translated numerous works from Chinese to German and vice versa, including writing articles by herself, and is also a member of the China-Europe Intercultural Writers Association. Moreover, she was entrusted by the German Terminology Council to translate the “The Basics of Terminology”, which is a rare Chinese material that comprehensively introduces terminology.
