Zhijun Gao is the director assistant and a lecturer at the Department of Digital Art and Technical Communication at Peking University (Beijing, China). He is also a PhD candidate at the University of Twente (Enschede, the Netherlands).
Currently, he also acts as the vice coordinator for the Council of Technical Communication at China Association of Standards. He is also the founder of Technical Communication Serial Seminars and the Wiki of Technical Communication. He is also participating in drafting several Chinese product documentation standards. At the same time, he is also responsible for many research projects in the field of technical communication, like simplified English checker etc..
Research interests: technical communication, computer-aided translation, and software globalization and localization.
